Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams called on Irish voters on Saturday to reject the EU fiscal pact in next week’s referendum to “break the cycle of austerity and inequality.”

In a televised speech at the party’s conference he said that while Sinn Fein ministers in Belfast were demanding more powers from London the Fine Gael-Labour coalition in Dublin was backing a treaty that would give away power to “unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats in Frankfurt and Brussels.”

He also rubbished claims that a No vote on May 31 would shut Ireland out of future EU funds.

No more peace.

I lived in Exarchia in late 70 and early 80’s.

I was on the endless conversations of revolution.

I was at the endlessly events in the square.

I was in the invasion of heroin in the brain and body of people.

The revolution stopped just before  begin.

I have the fortune to live and today.

Lived the attack on Greece by the “markets”.

Lived the reaction of the Greeks.

Lived the protests and anger in the streets and squares.

Lived endless conversations about dignity and revolution.

Lived the invasion of fear in the minds of the Greeks from foreign and local politicians, local and foreign media and the world bankers.

Like heroin suppressed the action of “libertarian” in the 80’s, so the fear and uncertainty represses the action of the modern Greeks.

I see people who have no hope for the future, afraid to claim their dignity.

I see unemployed, not to react dynamically , waiting to find someone else in their place and return  to the workers.

I see pensioners, who have no money to buy their medicines, to endure patiently their end.

I see students who know they will not ever find a job, still depend on the system.

I see traders, who have no customers and they support neoliberal views.

I see people, be grateful that they get little.

I see young people not have the ability to have children.

I see homeless, wandering the poverty and not react.

Fear makes all of them to accept conditions that no decent person would  tolerate.

So I ask all of you:

until when will YOU tolerate marginalization ?

until when will YOU vote representatives not representing you, but your bosses ?

until when will YOU give legitimacy to your exterminators ?

We do not expect anything from others!

If we do not react immediately will have the fortune of Exarchia:

People and ideologies simply exist and asleep pretend that react to today’s battles.

Venizelos response to a question why anyone would vote for PASOK said that the people punished PASOK in the May elections and that now can be trusted again (!).

This is the position of the system that governs us all these years.

They believe that the wrath of the people is temporary and fully controlled.

It’s up to us to prove if this is true.

Under these circumstances, there is no meaning at all for the endless discussions and peaceful protests.

We, however, as Metaretriever2, will not come  to protests and marches but only in this way:

Η ειρήνη δεν είναι πλέον επιλογή.

Είχα την τύχη να ζήσω στα Εξάρχεια στο τέλος του 70 και τα πρώτα χρόνια του 80.

Πρόλαβα τις ατελείωτες κουβέντες για την επανάσταση.

Πρόλαβα τα ατελείωτα δρώμενα στην πλατεία.

Πρόλαβα την εισβολή της ηρωίνης στον εγκέφαλο και στο σώμα των σκεπτόμενων.

Η επανάσταση σταμάτησε λίγο πριν ξεκινήσει.

Έχω την τύχη να ζω και το σήμερα.

Έζησα την επίθεση που δέχτηκε η Ελλάδα από τις ”αγορές”.

Έζησα την αντίδραση των Ελλήνων.

Έζησα τις διαδηλώσεις και την οργή στις πλατείες και στους δρόμους.

Έζησα τις ατελείωτες κουβέντες για αξιοπρέπεια και επανάσταση.

Έζησα την εισβολή του φόβου στα μυαλά των Ελλήνων από ξένους και ντόπιους πολιτικούς , από ντόπια και ξένα ΜΜΕ και  από τους παγκόσμιους τραπεζίτες.

Όπως η ηρωίνη κατέστειλε την δράση των ”ελεύθερων” την δεκαετία του 80 , έτσι και ο φόβος και η αβεβαιότητα καταστέλει την δράση των σημερινών Ελλήνων.

Βλέπω ανθρώπους , που δεν έχουν καμιά ελπίδα για το μέλλον , να φοβούνται να διεκδικήσουν την αξιοπρέπειά τους.

Βλέπω ανέργους , να μην αντιδρούν δυναμικά και να περιμένουν να βρεθεί κάποιος άλλος στη θέση τους και αυτοί να επανέλθουν στους εργαζόμενους.

Βλέπω συνταξιούχους , που δεν έχουν να αγοράσουν τα φάρμακά τους , να υπομένουν καρτερικά το τέλος τους.

Βλέπω φοιτητές , που ξέρουν ότι δεν πρόκειται να βρουν ποτέ δουλειά , να εξαρτώνται ακόμα από το σύστημα.

Βλέπω εμπόρους , που δεν έχουν καθόλου πελατεία , να στηρίζουν νεοφιλελεύθερες απόψεις.

Βλέπω εργαζόμενους , να ευγνωμονούν που παίρνουν έστω και αυτά τα ελάχιστα.

Βλέπω νέους ανθρώπους να μην έχουν την δυνατότητα να κάνουν παιδιά.

Βλέπω άστεγους , να περιφέρουν την ανέχεια τους και να μην αντιδρούν.

Ο φόβος κάνει όλους αυτούς να δέχονται καταστάσεις που κανένας αξιοπρεπής άνθρωπος δεν θα ανεχόταν.

Ρωτάω λοιπόν όλους εσάς :

μέχρι πότε θα ανέχεστε να περιθωριοποιήστε ;

μέχρι πότε θα ψηφίζετε αντιπροσώπους που δεν εκπροσωπούν εσάς αλλά τα αφεντικά σας ;

μέχρι πότε θα δίνετε νομιμοποίηση στους εξολοθρευτές σας ;

Δεν έχουμε να περιμένουμε τίποτα από τους άλλους!

Αν δεν αντιδράσουμε άμεσα θα έχουμε την τύχη των Εξαρχείων :

Άνθρωποι και ιδεολογίες που απλώς υπάρχουν και κοιμισμένοι προσποιούνται ότι αντιδρούν στις μάχες του σήμερα.

Ο Βενιζέλος απαντώντας σε ερώτηση γιατί κάποιος θα ψηφίσει ΠΑΣΟΚ είπε ότι η λαική οργή ξεθύμανε στις εκλογές του Μάη.

Αυτή είναι η θέση του συστήματος που μας κυβερνά τόσα χρόνια.

Πιστεύουν ότι η οργή του κόσμου είναι πρόσκαιρη και πλήρως ελεγχόμενη.

Στο χέρι μας είναι να αποδείξουμε αν αυτό είναι αλήθεια.

Κάτω από αυτές τις συνθήκες , δεν έχουν καμιά αξία οι ατελείωτες συζητήσεις και οι ειρηνικές διαμαρτυρίες.

Εμείς πάντως , ως Metaretriever2 , δεν θα ξανακατέβουμε σε διαμαρτυρίες και πορείες παρά μόνο έτσι :
